Devastating blaze forces residents to sleep under trees

CapeTalk Breakfast host, Kieno Kammies, says some of the Imizamo Yethu residents have been sleeping under the trees following fires that destroyed their shacks on Saturday.

The City of Cape Town says more than 15 000 people are currently homeless, trying to pick up the pieces to re-build their shacks.

Kieno reflects on his walkabout at Imizamo Yethu informal settlement this morning during his Breakfast show.
