Sassa and Social Development minister tardy for another ConCourt deadline

The South Africa Social Security Agency (Sassa) and Social Development Department missed another deadline set by the Constitutional Court.

The ConCourt issued a new directive to Sassa and Minister Bathabile Dlamini to file affidavits by 3pm on Tuesday afternoon to explain why they missed Monday's deadline.

Officials arrived 11 minutes late, reports EWN's Gia Nicolaides.

They have now physically filed the affidavits and the legal parties will reconvene to hear the urgent matter in the ConCourt on Wednesday at 10 am.

We will hear what Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng has to say about these two deadline's which have been missed.
