Hundreds of ANC members gather to welcome Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma

The first ever woman to head the African Union officially handed over her post as chairperson to Moussa Faki Mahamat on Tuesday.

Members of the ANC Youth League, as well as the ANC's Womens League, have gathered at OR Tambo International Airport to welcome Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma's return from Addis Ababa in Ethiopia where her farewell was held.

EWN reporter Ziyanda Ngcobo, reporting from the airport, says the flight from Addis Ababa is due to arrive at 13:20.

There are about 200 members of the ANC who are waiting to welcome her, she says.

Ngcobo noted that it would be interesting to see if Dlamini-Zuma's biggest supporter, Bathabile Dlamini, will be at the welcoming party as she has her hands full with the Sassa saga.
