Western Cape Premier Helen Zille has upset many South Africans with her tweets about colonialism on Thursday morning.

Zille has since apologised, while the African National Congress (ANC) in the Western Cape is asking the Democratic Alliance (DA)to recall Helen Zille as premier.

Earlier, DA leader, Mmusi Maimane spoke to 702's Eusebius McKaiser about Zille's tweets saying they are "unacceptable and offensive". Maimane said the party will hold an internal investigation.
