Ndumiso Ngcobo says smokers are the new lepers

Sunday Times columnist and author, Ndumiso Ngcobo says he detests the smell of tobacco and often feels sorry for smokers.

Ngcobo says smokers have been easy targets of social bad habits purely because of legislation.

Society could take a leaf from a smokers book says Ngcobo, adding that there exists a secret society of smokers.

I have never seen a smoker refuse another smoker a cigarette or a lighter.

I'm a social smoker, I smoke in the evening. The best people are the smokers. Go outside to smoke with them you make connections, you exchange business cards.

Responding to the caller, Michelle, Ngcobo says most smokers have a 'catholic' saying they always refer to the 'last' time they quit cigarettes.
