Gang violence flares up in Worcester

Escalating violence between rival gang members has led to the closing of the R43 road which passes Avian Park in Worcester on Monday.

EWN Reporter, Natalie Malgas says the police don't want to identify gang members or what led to the shootout.

Previous gang violence in the area is usually centred around retaliation attacks, reacting on what could've happened to the gang earlier.

Malgas says people in the area fear for their lives and have described the situation as a reign of terror.
