IJR urges South Africans to reflect on Human Rights Day

The Institute for Justice and Reconciliation (IJR) has called on South Africans to reflect on the past and continue dialogues that will help advance reconciliation and democracy.

Whatever race you are; whatever community you come from, speak about the issues that you face on the daily.

Gugu Nonjinge, communications and advocacy officer at IJR

IJR is a non-governmental organisation and think tank devoted to building inclusive societies.

The IJR says Human Rights Day serves as a moment of reflection on South Africa's past and reminder of how far the country still has to go.

IJR's Gugu Nonjinge has encouraged citizens to become change agents within their own communities by offering solutions to the social problems they face on a daily basis.
