Spur founder Allan Ambor says the restaurant is appalled by the actions of man who threatened to attack a woman at a Spur restaurant at The Glen in Johannesburg.
The video of a white man threatening to attack a black woman has caused outrage.
Internet users are unhappy with the restaurant management's reaction to the matter, saying they did very little to defend the woman.
Ambor says while management was not near the area when the incident transpired, a waiter attempted to diffuse the conflict.
The senior manager took some ribs back to the grill which is quite a considerable distance away, immediately before this happened, that was just a coincidence. So he was sort of out of the picture.— Allan Ambor, Spur founder
One of the waiters, Andile, did try and block the man from coming back a second time but this man was just to angry and too big.— Allan Ambor, Spur founder
And when the manager got back there, he confessed to one of our regional managers who has been dealing with this all day, that he was actually frightened that he would get hit by this man.— Allan Ambor, Spur founder
