Three suspects linked to a burglary at the office of the Chief Justice, where 15 computers containing personal information of 250 judges were stolen, appeared in court on Wednesday.
There was a bit of confusion when the suspects were only charged with being in possession of unlicensed firearms, fake identity documents and not the burglary.
EWN reporter, Barry Bateman says there was no explanation from the authorities pertaining to the matter.
Kgomotso Phahlane made it quite clear that the three suspects will appear in court on unrelated charges while they investigate the matter further.— Barry Bateman, EWN reporter
The other possibility could be that they don't want to put the matter on the roll at this stage because they may be compelled to file certain documents in the public record which they might see as undermining the investigation at this stage.— Barry Bateman, EWN reporter
