Newly appointed SABC board expected to hit the ground running

Parliament's Standing Committee on Public Accounts (Scopa) is expected to visit the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) Auckland Park offices to find out what issues the new interim board will focus on as they take office.

President Jacob Zuma appointed former businesswoman, Khanyisile Kweyama as the chairperson of the board and veteran journalist, Mathatha Tsedu, as the deputy.

Other members include John Matisson, Febe Potgiether-Gqubule and Krish Naidoo. The pressure is on for the board to show profits withing the next 6 months.
