Adv Willie Hofmeyr on Kathrada: We've lost a giant

Tributes continue to pour in for South Africa's struggle veteran Ahmed Kathrada who died in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Advocate Willie Hofmeyr, Deputy National Director of Public Prosecutions for the National Prosecuting Authority added his voice to the chorus of tributes for Kathrada.

Hofmeyr is a senior advocate known for his previous corruption fighting role in the National Prosecuting Authority.

He says South Africa has indeed lost a giant.

Uncle Kathy was one of the amazing people I've ever met in my life... He was also a very humble person, anybody could approach him and talk to him.
