Does enough thought go into restaurant music?

Celebrity Chef and Restaurant Consultant, Pete Goffe-Wood says music used to create or enhance a mood or atmosphere in a restaurant should be used at a minimum.

He says it should be used strategically to avoid annoying customers.

Ideally what should happen is as the restaurant fills up the music should be turned down., so that the room is filled with the noise of the restaurant.

Pete Goffe-Wood,Celebrity Chef and Restaurant Consultant

Good music in restaurants should virtually be inaudible in that its just background buzz that is creating an atmosphere, it shouldn't be a feature.
