Young founders of THINK Creative Hub disrupting the ad space

29 March 2017 12:31 PM
THINK Creative Hub co-founders Mukondi Ralushayi and Nkgabiseng Motau are giving their own spin to the local advertising industry.

Copywriter Mukondi Ralushayi and art director Nkgabiseng Motau are the brains behind the creative consultancy network THINK Creative Hub.

THINK is a creative hub that provides different and innovative advertising and design solutions as wells as ideas around affecting social change through brands.

We offer creative solutions that aren't molded by any one execution. Think of us as a consultancy that comes in to solve the idea, despite the constraints.

Ralushayi and Motau were motivated to start their own business to reinvigorate the traditional advertising space and create marketing solutions for some of South Africa's most loved brands.

The pair conceptualise ideas together and hire freelancers and other talents to help execute concepts which fall outside their skill set.

Both of them faced pressure from their parents about choosing a career in commerce, despite their path in creativity.

The pair both attended the same high school and later studied complimentary degrees at Vega School.

Thereafter, they interned at advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather Johannesburg where they gained practical campaign experience.

We got a taste of everything, we got to work on TV, food and cars.

The young duo then took the bold step to establish their own platform after six years working in the industry.

Ralushayi explains that THINK is much more flexible in terms of production costs and rates, compared to bigger agencies.
