Still no trace of missing Charlotte Nikoi, one month on

There's still no sign of Charlotte Nikoi, a Ghanaian Unicef director, who went missing on Table Mountain on 21 March.

The 50-year old woman was reported missing by her husband after they had gone hiking up Platteklip Gorge on Human Rights Day, a month ago.

A R50 000 reward is being offered for information regarding Nikoi's disappearance.

Husband desperate to find missing wife

Her husband, Chris Nikoi, has pleaded with public to come forward with any information regarding her whereabouts.

He explains that they went on hike with their daughter at around midday on Tuesday 21 March.

He says the trail was very busy and 45 minutes into the hike - while he and his daughter were ahead - Nikoi sent a text to say that she was turning back and would wait for them at the starting point.

I could see her starting to walk back. My daughter and I continued on.

The husband says Nikoi sent another text 35 minutes later suggesting that she had made it to the bottom of the trail.

After reaching the top, he and his daughter boarded the cable car down and took a cab to collect her around 15:30, when they could not find her.

We could not find her there about two hours after her last SMS... That is the beginning of this nightmare that we have been living since the 21st of March.
