Fanyana Mazibuko contributed immensely to education in South Africa.
Mazibuko taught at the Morris Isaacson High School between 1967 and 1977.
Morris Isaacson High School was founded in 1956 and renowned for its role at the start of the Soweto Uprising in 1976.
Mazibuko taught science at the school and has received numerous awards for his contributions to education. He was amongst a group of teachers that staged a mass resignation as a form of protest against the Bantu education system.
The Morris Isaacson Alumni will be honouring Mr. Fanyana Mazibuko on his milestone 75th birthday. Mazibuko's birthday is on the 31st March but the event will be held on the 1st April 2017 at the Morris Isaacson Hall.
