The South African Communist Party (SACP) says its members may choose not to resign following President Zuma's late-night Cabinet reshuffle.
SACP second deputy general secretary, Solly Mapaila, says it's important to understand that their members are also members of the African National Congress (ANC).
Mapaila says South Africans need to look out for the possible looting of the state now that the President Jacob Zuma has appointed a new Finance Minister and deputy.
Members would have their own discretion to decide, but at the same time when we come to a conclusion on the basis of political decision we can take a structural decision which can bind members of the SACP. But, they can still say, no we will use our ANC membership and remain in office.— Solly Mapaila, SACP second deputy general secretary
