Holomisa: UDM will support DA motion of no confidence

United Democratic Front leader Bantu Holomisa says they will support a motion of no confidence tabled by the Democratic Alliance in another bid to have President Jacob Zuma removed as president.

Holomisa has reacted to Zuma's cabinet reshuffle and says the onus is now on the African National Congress to take collective responsibility and determine the way forward.

The onus is on the ANC collective to prove to the voters of South Africa that they are running this country collectively, not that this country is run by an individual who is causing havoc.

While there are reports that Deputy Cyril Ramaphosa has described the axing of Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan as unacceptable, ANC Secretary General Gwede Mantashe confirmed he is not happy with the decision.

Mantashe said that there are ministers who do not perform their duties yet have not been affected by the decision.

However, Holomisa says the current backlash from alliance members and ANC leaders is 'ironic'.

The irony therefore is what steps are they going to take to remedy the situation.

ANC has been imploding in front of us and we have been warning the people of South Africa...we must focus on galvanising and educating the people of South Africa, that the so-called struggle stalwarts are the very people who are the very hyenas who are hijacking our country today.

Bantu Holomisa, leader of the United Democratic Movement

Meanwhile Public Service and Administration Minister Ngoako Ramatlhodi has told Eyewitness News that he is relieved at his removal.
