Over 3 million grant beneficiaries paid - Sassa

Senior Manager-Communications and Marketing at Sassa, Shivani Wahab says they are pleased with the way grant payments were handled in the Western Cape, there were no major glitches reported.

Nationally they have managed to pay over 3 million grant beneficiaries.

We are confident that all our beneficiaries will be paid by the April 18.

She says the only deductions that are permissible are that of funeral policies and if anyone is experiencing any other deductions they should contact Sassa immediately.

When we get reports of unlawful deductions we immediately escalate it to Sassa head office.
