ANC needs to check who Zuma's handlers are - Cheryl Carolus

African National Congress (ANC) stalwarts say they want President Jacob Zuma to be removed from office.

ANC stalwart, Cheryl Carolus says the events of the past few days should convince the ANC that this is a national crisis, saying President Jacob Zuma behaved in a callous manner around the time of struggle icon, Ahmed Kathrada's funeral.

Carolus stresses that the ANC needs to hold President Zuma to account for his actions.

In December, the Integrity Committee indicated to the President that he violated the Constitution and brought the ANC into disrepute.

Carolus also highlights Zuma's decision not to consult with the ANC when he made his decision to reshuffle Cabinet, which defies ANC policy.

She calls on the ANC to check who President Zuma's handlers are.

She says President Zuma is taking the country backward while damaging the reputation of the ANC.

EWN Reporter, Clement Manyathela attended a press briefing hosted by The Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) who say they have lost faith in Zuma's leadership.
