What does “service” mean? What is “good” service? How do you differentiate the service you offer from those of your competitors? What do you do differently?

“We’re getting better at service in South Africa”, says Aurik Business Incubator CEO Pavlo Phitidis. “But it varies a lot!”

Phitidis says every small business needs a system for service that you follow every time. “If you can turn the service you deliver into a system then you can maintain your service levels even when the number of customers increases.”

Service is a component of branding. If your operations don’t deliver according to expectations then you don’t have great service.
