Thousands of DA supporters marched to Mary Fitzgerald square in one of the anti-Zuma marches taking place nationwide.

DA spokesperson Refiloe Ntsekhe told EWN's Masa Kekana that the party had received threats against Maimane and DA demonstrators.

They had received some threats against the leader of the DA and also threats to supporters and people joining the march.

The programme was also adjusted at the last minute for safety purposes.

At the same time, a DA member was allegedly attacked outside Luthuli House, reports Kekana.

Maimane encouraged supporters to attend the national day of action on 12 April and said that mobilaisation should be ongoing.
