How you can tell if you have caught a cold or the flu

With the flu season gradually setting in you may want to be more precise about the symptoms to better treat it.

Dr Charl van Loggerenberg, MD at International SOS says the common myth that a flu vaccine causes the virus is false.

Yes some people get a small reaction to the load of the vaccine on board....but its an extremely rare phenomenon.

The most common strains of flu include Influenza A (H3N2) virus, one Influenza A (H1N1) virus, and one Influenza B virus.

van Loggerenberg says a cold can be caused by multiple viruses differentiating it from influenza which can lead to other complications.
