The Midday Report's, Stephen Grootes asked Khoza why she posted her thoughts on Facebook.

I posted it because as a leader, in my own right of the ANC, I do believe that I have the responsibility of patting my own colleagues on their shoulders - my own colleagues who are senior to me in politics and senior to me in terms of the leadership hierarchy and say, can you see where we are headed?

Dr Makhosi Khoza, ANC MP

Stephen Grootes: Are you suggesting that if things continue as they are, its the DA and the EFF that will benefit?

I don't think it's a responsible way of responding - by labeling those that are telling you as a party that assumed the position of being a leader of society. If you are a leader of society you have to listen to the divergent views of society, no matter how painful they may sound. I think we have to as the ANC.

Dr Makhosi Khoza, ANC MP

Stephen Grootes: Do think the leadership of the ANC will listen to what you're saying?

It's not really about whether they are listening to what I am saying. What is more important now is that those of us that are within the ANC, who are leaders in our right, what are we saying?

Dr Makhosi Khoza, ANC MP

The politics of patronage have taken grip of our souls. Its very important as a leader to stand up when you think we are all going to be accused of not being sensitive to the views of the society we claim to be leading.

Dr Makhosi Khoza, ANC MP

Stephen Grootes: Do you think that the ANC can fix itself?

I believe that leadership is everything. Leadership sets the tone for society, leadership defines what society you will have, it defines the value system of society.

And Ii do believe that If the ANC can assume a higher moral ground and begins to speak without fear, favour and prejudice and say this is the position that as the ANC represents our value system, in time, people will follow suit.

Dr Makhosi Khoza, ANC MP
