News agency, GroundUp has decided to ditch Google Ads.
GroundUp Editor, Nathan Geffen says Google Ads were taking up too much space and they were not making much money from it.
He says in their best month which was October last year they made just over R2 000.
GroundUp is a news agency established in 2012 in partnership with the Community Media Trust and UCT's Centre for Social Science Research.
It focuses on human rights issues and repurposing stories that are often ignored in the mainstream media.

Geffen made reference to a picture of South Africa's tycoon, Patrice Motsepe, which has been making the rounds online that he believes it is one of the get rich quick scheme.
