'South African design is as good as anything around the world'

Woolworths South Africa's collaboration with eight local designers is gaining momentum.

The #stylebySA campaign launched last week will see the likes of Maria McCloy, Rich Mnisi, Thebe Magugu, AKJP, Pichulik, Sol-Sol, Selfi and Young & Lazy will see their innovative designs sold at stores nationwide.

Woolworths presented a capsule collection by the group of clothing and accessories designers at the recent South African Fashion Week SS17 in Johannesburg.

In a recent interview with CapeTalk anchor Pippa Hudson, McCloy who is known for her African inspired accessories, explained why you should be flocking to the in store section.

We are as good as anything from anywhere in the world because we have our unique flavor and our unique designers.

Maria McCloy, fashion designer

We all need that extra step up and big break and when I got that call from Woolworths in December I was like 'Oh my God 2017 is going to be amazing'.
