Western Cape High Court Judge Siraj Desai on Tuesday inspected the De Zalze home where three van Breda family members were murdered.
Henri van Breda is on trial for allegedly killing his parents and older brother at their home outside Stellenbosch in January 2015.
On Monday, the triple murder accused pleaded not guilty to all five charges against him, reports EWN's Giovanna Gerbi.
He faces three counts of murder, one of attempted murder and one of defeating the ends of justice.
Gerbi says Judge Desai entered the Stellenbosch premises before 10 am as private security and several police officers monitored a large media contingency.
The judge was briefed on the layout of the house and the inspection forms part of the court records.
He was guided by State prosecutor Susan Galloway, who described where the murder weapon and bodies were found in the house.
The 22-year-old murder accused was also present and the media were not allowed to enter the house, Gerbi explains.
The court trial is expected to resume on Wednesday.
