Why you should rethink your reservations about horror fiction books

Broadcaster and arts journalist Karabo Kgoleng says horror fiction was a great form of escapism during her teenage years.

While some people believe that the genre is gruesome and based purely on psychological manipulation, Kgoleng says that it also helps people to cope.

What I find fascinating about it is that it speaks to our deepest fears and forces us to face them.
