SANParks re-routes emergency response for Table Mountain users

SANParks has re-routed the emergency telephone contact number for Table Mountain National Park (TMNP) in an effort to streamline the emergency responses.

The TMNP number (0861 106 417) will now be redirected via Bellville operating centre to the City of Cape Town's 107 Public Emergency Communication Centre.

The number to dial for all emergencies in TMNP remains the same and all emergencies will now being dealt with by the 107 operators, explains SANPARks spokesperson Merle Collins.

Collins says the 107 communication cnetre has well-trained operators who will assist and help reduce the delays of emergency responses.

The sooner we can respond to an emergency, the better for us and the victim.
