What does the infamous phrase "radical economic transformation" really mean?

Lately, everyone seems to be throwing these two phrases around when talking about the economy of the country - "radical economic transformation" and "inclusive growth".

But do we know what these phrases really mean?

CapeTalk's/702's Stephen Grootes speaks to Dr Iraj Abidian, Executive Chairman at Pan-African Capital Holdings and Professor of politics at UJ, Mcebisi Ndletyana, to understand the meaning of these phrases and their connotations to our economy.

That is the old concept discussed as far back as the olden days of the freedom charter. What has changed now is that it has been hijacked by the populist agency in the person of Jacob Zuma.

Mcebisi Ndletyana, Professor of politics at UJ

That has tainted an honorable phrase because it's not really an honest proposal but a cover for a politician who happens to have a very serious political problem.
