South African Communist Party (SACP) deputy general secretary, Solly Mapaila has warned the ANC that it will be worse off without alliance partners SACP and Cosatu which is what will happen if the ruling party does not recall President Jacob Zuma.
Mapaila was speaking at the National Union of Mineworkers education and training summit in Midrand on Wednesday.
He has said that without its alliance partners, the ANC would have no power.
The SACP will apparently embark on a 'strategic program' if the ANC fails to recall Zuma.
SACP spokesperson Alex Mashilo spoke to Mandy Wiener on The Midday Report.
We communicated that position to the ANC which has accepted our request for a meeting to hold a joint discussion on that position.— Alex Mashilo, SACP spokesperson
Step number two would be what Mapaila explained yesterday, this action program will be decided on at the stage step number one will be completed.— Alex Mashilo, SACP spokesperson
