Maimane on court's ruling for Zuma to provide Cabinet reshuffle records

Democratic Alliance leader Mmusi Maimane says a ruling by Pretoria High Court on Thursday is a victory for South Africans.

The Court ruled that President Jacob Zuma must hand over all records explaining the reason why he reshuffled the Cabinet on March 30.

The DA filed an urgent application with the court in April to force President Zuma to disclose his reasons for reshuffling his Cabinet.

Maimane says this court ruling reaffirms that the executive is accountable and cannot make irrational decisions.

He urged South African to make contributions to the DA so that they can continue holding government accountable. Fortunately on this court case, the DA won with costs, says Maimane.
