How to reduce your cellphone bill

CEO of Tariffic, Antony Seeff, says people lose money daily on content charges and subscriptions they are not aware of.

Content subscription services run by wireless application service providers (WASPs) is the reason why airtime disappears and these Wasps providers are very sneaky about it, says Seeff.

They offer a whole bunch of content services like daily horoscopes, games, weather report and porn for a daily fee.

Often people don't even realise they are signing up for these services.

Seeff says the good news is that it is possible to remove these subscriptions but that varies from one network provider to the other. With Vodacom, it's as easy as sending an sms, says Seeff.
