City Press sports editor S'busiso Mseleku says Stuart Baxter will have to hit the ground running to prepare Bafana Bafana for a Africa Cup of Nations qualifier game with Nigeria.

On Thursday, the Supersport United coach was named head coach for Bafana Bafana.

He is expected to kick off his tenure at the end of May.

Stuart Baxter is capable of doing a great job but I feel he has been short-changed by the football authorities of this country because of the timing of the announcement.
