Vuwani residents frustrated with Zuma, accept resolution

President Jacob Zuma failed to address residents at Vuwani in Limpopo on Sunday, after promising to disclose the outcome of a meeting with the king of vhaVenda and other parties, over demarcation.

Residents waited hours for Zuma to arrive at Nandoni Sports Ground but the president was advised to leave, citing safety concerns.

They are demanding their area be re-incorporated into the Makhado Municipality and not a new municipality in Malamulele.

Community leader Nsovo Sambo says they are not satisfied with how events transpired, but will accept the meeting's resolution.

It has been agreed that relevant departments from the provincial and national government would have to support the district municipality.

Definitely satisfied because you remember our problem is that we do not want anything to do with the new municipality.
