Restaurants condemned for charging 'anti-competitive' wine listing fees

Restaurateur Pete Goffe-Wood and wine guru Michael Fridjhon both agree that listing fees undermine the integrity of the industry.

Some restaurant groups still charge wine producers a fee to list their wine labels on their wine list , according to a WineMag article.

The controversial practice is anti-competitive at least and illegal at worst, says international wine expert Michael Fridjhon.

The bottom line that the restaurant surrenders control of its wine list to someone that buys his way on.
