The Star Wars franchise has taken in seven billion dollars in ticket sales over the last 40 years.

The Star Wars franchise turns 40 this year after taking more than $7 billion in world ticket sales.

Stephen Grootes spoke to movie critic Hugh Fraser on it's success.

If you extrapolate that figure to home entertainment, toys ad merchandising, video games.. you are actually at $42 billion.
