Cape Town's flexi work hours an 'absolute hit'

Cape Town employers were recently asked to introduce flexible working hours, as well as remote working to reduce congestion on the City’s roads.

The concept is one of three substantial changes proposed by the city council in order to tackle traffic congestion.

Tax advisory company Grant Thornton has expanded it's flexible working hours, giving employees an option to start work 8 hours between 6am and 5:45pm from Monday to Thursday.

John Maytham spoke to Billy Nield, a partner at the People and Culture committee at Grant Thornton.

From Monday to Thursday it's 8 hours, and on Friday it's 7 and a half hours.
