Ramaphosa: Cosatu and SACP must not be silenced

ANC deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa says Cosatu and the SACP have every right to voice concerns about what is happening in the ruling party.

Ramaphosa addressed Cosatu's central committee meeting, reports EWN's Clement Manyathela.

The deputy president says the ANC's alliance partners must not be silenced and told delegates that state capture is the big elephant in the room that is eating away at the ruling party.

He says Cosatu and South Africans must welcome the decision for the ANC NEC to call for an urgent judicial commission of inquiry into state capture.

Manyathela says Ramaphosa and Cosatu president Sdumo Dlamini were both warmly welcomed at the event.
