Umkhonto weSizwe Military Veterans Association (MKMVA) chairperson Kebby Maphatsoe says the association has no program against the South African Communist Party (SACP) second deputy general secretary Solly Mapaila.
According to Mapaila, a group of people who said they were part of the MK foundation held a protest outside his home on Tuesday.
Maphatsoe says there is no relationship between his organisation MKMVA and the MK Foundation.
He says there is nothing wrong with people protesting outside someone's private home as long as they've applied for a permit and were granted permission to do so.
As long as they are not going to destroy property or harass people every South African has got the right to march.— Kebby Maphatsoe, chairman of Umkhonto WeSizwe Military Veterans Association
Maphatsoe says to deny anyone the right to protest would be going against the Constitution.
The people protesting outside Mapaila's house were holding placards saying hand’s off Zuma.
