Donald Trump has announced the withdrawal of the US from the Paris agreement on climate change.
Trump says he wants to "renegotiate" a fairer deal that would not disadvantage US businesses and workers.
He said this is “a reassertion of America’s sovereignty”, and added he could try to re-enter the deal under more favourable terms or work to establish “an entirely new transaction” but indicated that it is not a priority.
Caller Yusuf says the withdrawal will have a significant effect globally.
