What's the fuss about fidget spinners?

Parenting expert, Nikki Bush says fidget spinners are good because they distract children from constant electronic screen time and encourages them to play.

She describes it as a massive worldwide craze.

According to Bush, the toy came into the market as a learning assistance tool for children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) but now they are enjoyed by both children and adults.

This is an object of fascination that intrigues children because they can make it do stuff for them versus it doing it for them.

So many toys today that are battery operated do something for our children versus them doing it.

Schools have started banning these toys. The reason given is that they are destructive in class and that some children may use them as missiles to hurt other, says Bush.

Bush says teachers could use these spinners to wake up the brain before lessons or take a break in between lessons.
