Johann from Knysna describes in detail the fires blazing in the area. He and his family moved to Knysna a week ago and had just unpacked their last boxes when the fires broke out and they were forced to evacuate.

Pretty much half the town has burnt down.

He says most of Belvedere and Brenton-on Lake has burnt down. The Montessori School has burnt to the ground.

I can see the fires raging on the Heads and moving in a steady direction towards the informal and those guys are even more at risk than we are.
