Illustrated book highlights 26 'kickass' SA women (and how you can support)

A local book titled the A-Z of Amazing South African Women is due to be published in August to coincide with Women's Month.

The illustrated book is guide to some of the country's most "kickass" women figures, explains author and editor Ambre Nicolson.

We want to show South African women to be complex, powerful protagonists in their own life.

The profiled women include the likes of Fatima Meer, Caster Semenya, Natalie du Toit and Dope St Jude.

117 backers have raised over R80 000 so far and and the dream goal is R100 000 on crowdfunding platform Thundafund says publisher Colleen Higgs.

South Africans have been urged to pledge their support and pre-order books for themselves and other less fortunate youth.
