Outa files application to have SAA's Myeni declared a delinquent director

OUTA chairperson, Wayne Duvenage says they have filed application to have Dudu Myeni declared as a delinquent director of the SAA board.

The Companies Tribunal will be holding a hearing on Monday into whether Myeni should be disqualified from being a director over the way she handled a deal with Airbus.

According to Duvenage, Outa has laid six charges against Myeni.

Myeni's term is coming to an end in a couple of months but Duvenage says the action against her would mean that she will not serve on any board or in any senior capacity for a minimum of seven years.

In fact she is the chairperson of the Zuma foundation which will mean she will have to be removed from that position if found guilty.

It is important that we don't just allow people to get off the hook all the time clearly because they move like musical chairs from board to board, she needs to have the sanction against her for longer.
