"There aren't enough black people making decisions" #OUTsurance Ad

Author and marketing expert, Khaya Dlanga responded to an OUTsurance Fathers Day video featuring mostly white dads, and caused a social media outrage, as a big misunderstanding of the country.

OUTsurance has since removed the video, apologised to South Africans and acknowledged that the video did not represent the demographics appropriately.

Dlanga says this shows that there aren't many black decision makers in these companies as they keep on making the same mistakes.

This is due to the fact that the people who are making decisions are out of touch and there aren't enough black people who make decisions.

If they have black people in their companies as their juniors who have no power and simply get told what to do as opposed to being able to veto the decisions that are made.

He says that many companies are aware of what needs to be done but they are not willing to do it and rather they pretend to be.

You get people saying that there aren't many experienced black people to put into these positions but are they making an effort to finding these people?
