#GuptaLeaks: Guptas handpicked certain people for SOE boards

Emerging information from #GuptaLeaks emails by the Sunday Times, shows how the Guptas wanted certain people to be placed on the boards of different State owned enterprises. These included Prasa, Sanral, Eskom and Acsa.

Investigative journalist for Times Media, Kyle Cowan, has confirmed that Advocate Kenosi Moroka's name is one of the names the Guptas wanted on the Acsa board.

Cowan says the list was sent to the advisor of the Minister of Transport at the time in November 2012.

They were then instructed to make it happen.

They tried to defy the Guptas and these chaps even got a legal opinion for the reasons why they can't change.

DA's shadow Minister of Public Enterprises, Natasha Mazzone, says it is important that an Adhoc committee be established to investigate state capture into state owned entities.

She says the party has discovered that there is a certain modus operandi that's being followed in all state owned entities, not only the ones under Minister Lynne Brown.

We have law firms that investigates and represents public entities so they are both clients and judges.

Natasha Mazzone, DA's shadow Minister of Public Enterprises

It is absolutely essential that we have adhoc committee in Parliament to deal with state capture.
