DA calls for Zuma's son and Ajay Gupta to be part of Eskom inquiry

Parliament's Public Enterprises Committee held a discussion on Wednesday as to how to proceed with its inquiry into Eskom.

According to EWN's Rahima Essop, MPs set the scene for things to come. She says MPs were determined that the inquiry will get to the bottom of what is truly going on at the power utility company.

They questioned of the reappointment of Brian Molefe as the CEO, why was he allowed to get a R30 million retirement package and why was that retirement package authorised. are all on the table, she says.

MPs have decided that it remains a relevant issue that they need to find out why it happened in the first place.
