Cape Comoot offers a chance to explore the Western Cape affordably

A newly launched local shuttle service, Cape Comoot, aims to make touring the Western Cape affordable and accessible for the domestic market.

Often local tourists complain about the cost of touring this beautiful province and getting to see its key tourist destinations, but Cape Comoot wants to make that a thing of the past.

A scenic trip between Cape Town and Franschhoek or Cape Point cost R99, says co-founder of Cape Camoot Martin Nielsen.

Usually, a trip like this would cost between R500 - R600 for a single trip. Nielsen says their vehicles are comfortable and air-conditioned.

Tickets can only be booked online and departure times can also be viewed there.

All trips depart from Greenmarket Square.
