Dladla not compromised in any way - Lynne Brown

Public Enterprises Minister, Lynne Brown on Friday announced that she has appointed four new Eskom board members. Ben Ngubane resigned from his position as Eskom's board chairman last week.

Gia Nicolaides, EWN reporter was at the media briefing.

Nicolaides says the Minister revealed the newly elected board members adding that they come with 'green experience'. The appointment of the four new board members brings the number of members to nine.

She said that all the board members remain interim until she has taken their names to Cabinet for approval.

Johnny Dladla, who was recently appointed Eskom's acting CEO was at the briefing. Brown told the media that the appointment of Dladla was longer than expected as it is a complex process and she wanted to appointed someone who wasn't compromised in any way. Dladla has been with the state owned entity for about twenty years.

Brown also alluded to a number of investigations currently underway some dating as far back as 2008.
