Wayde van Niekerk breaks another world record

South Africa continued celebrations into Thursday morning after Wayde van Niekerk again ran into the history books breaking the world record for the 300 meter mark and completing the distance in a time of 30.85 seconds.

A time faster than Michael Johnson and Usain Bolt.

All eyes will be on the athlete as the World Athletics Championships approach in August, where Van Niekerk will race in the 200 and 400m.

Stephen Grootes spoke to former sprinter Matthew Quinn.

400 is going to be the interesting one, can he go below 43.03, no one has ever got the word record but everyone though going sub 43 would be impossible until Wayde Van Niekerk stepped on the track.
